About the Role

Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians to ensure data accountability and compliance.



Promote catalog adoption by training users and promoting self-service data discovery.



Ensure catalog entries are linked to data quality scores, lineage, and stewardship contacts.



Periodically audit the catalog for outdated, redundant, or incomplete entries and coordinate updates.



Maintain and curate the enterprise data catalog to ensure it reflects current and accurate metadata.



Propose operating models tailored for the organisation and suggest best practices.



Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).



3–5 years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data management roles.



Experience working with enterprise data catalogs (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica specifically).



Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and metadata standards.



Familiarity with data quality tools and techniques, including profiling, cleansing, and monitoring.



Experience with data classification, lineage tracking, and access control policies.



Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX) and their impact on data handling.



Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of data warehousing concepts.



Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with data owners, stewards, engineers, and business users.



Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy, consistency, and governance compliance.



Ability to document policies, procedures, and data definitions clearly and concisely.
