About the Role
Role Objective Own and drive end-to-end application lifecycle management and transport release governance for SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud).
The role ensures stable, predictable, and compliant releases by defining rules, enforcing governance, and leading decision-making for exceptions and complex transport scenarios across functional, technical, and authorization domains. Key Responsibilities Release & Transport Governance Define and enforce release governance standards for SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
Own transport lifecycle management across DEV, TEST, and PROD.
Establish rules for transport sequencing, bundling, dependency handling, and post-processing. Lead Go/No-Go decisions for sprint releases, global releases, hotfixes, and upgrades.
Decision-Making & Exception Handling Act as the decision authority for exceptional release scenarios and deviations from standard process.
Assess risk and impact of individual transports across: Configuration Custom code / extensions Roles & authorizations Integrations Data and master data Balance speed vs stability, recommending corrective actions or deferrals where needed.
Application Lifecycle Management Drive end-to-end ALM processes using SAP tools (Cloud ALM) Define and maintain release calendars, cutover plans, and deployment windows.
Ensure traceability between requirements, transports, tests, and deployments. Parallel & Complex Delivery Models Support Parallel Line or dual-track delivery models (e.g., Branch, Rebase, Merge).
Coordinate releases across multiple concurrent initiatives or rollout waves.
Ensure alignment between Main Line and parallel delivery streams.
