About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
o Requirement Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Identify and document data sources, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
o Dashboard Design and Development:
Build interactive and visually compelling dashboards using Tableau Desktop.
Leverage advanced Tableau features like LOD calculations, dynamic parameters, sets, and custom visualizations.
Optimize dashboards for performance and usability.
o Data Preparation and Integration:
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
Connect to various data sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
Use Tableau Prep for data cleansing, blending, and transformation.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
o Tableau Server Management:
Deploy and publish dashboards on Tableau Server.
Manage user access, roles, and permissions.
Perform routine server maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Monitor and enhance server performance and resource utilization.
o Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and analysts.
Stay up to date with the latest Tableau features and industry trends to continuously enhance our reporting capabilities. Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure compliance and data quality standards. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve reporting and analytics.
Experience Required: 5+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of Tableau projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Online.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience with SQL and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes.
