About the Role

• Data Security: Knowledge of different data security concepts; data loss, data duplication, data misclassification/mislabeling, data access, and data inaccuracies. Experience with data protection methods on various platforms and databases.
• Incident Handling: Experience in critical trouble ticket management or incident case management. Understanding how to analyze situations to determine the appropriate escalation path or closure path within compliance and governance guidelines.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Experience in monitoring incident cases, generating reports, and identifying trends that can play into future incident strategies.
• Compliance and Governance: Understanding of data governance principles and experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Govern Data Events (Incidents) which may take place from troubleshooting issues that are being reporting in Service Now.
• Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand data event situation, determine its risk, and if it needs to be reported as a Major Incident.
• Guide any member through the reporting of Major Incidents that may take place during Data Event investigations.
• Document and track stats for Data Event Management reporting
• Provide recommendations and expert security analysis to prevent future Data Events from occurring.
• Assist in building framework content for the Data Event Management program and its evolution.
Qualifications and Experience
• Proficiency in managing Open Share folders in a Windows or Linux environment.
• Familiarity with access control mechanisms, file permissions, and security configurations.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Experience with monitoring tools and techniques for tracking folder usage and access.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and risk management.
