About the Role

Responsibilities:
• Migration Planning and Execution:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive Confluence migration plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
o Analyze existing Confluence data, identify potential migration challenges, and develop mitigation strategies.
o Perform pre-migration assessments, data cleanup, and user communication.
o Execute the migration process, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
o Conduct post-migration validation and testing to ensure successful migration.
• Confluence Administration:
o Maintain and administer the Confluence platform, including user management, permissions, and space administration.
o Configure and customize Confluence settings, add-ons, and integrations.
o Troubleshoot and resolve Confluence-related issues, providing timely support to users.
o Implement and enforce Confluence best practices and governance policies.
o Manage and maintain Confluence backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and end-users, to ensure a smooth migration process.
o Communicate migration progress, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
o Provide training and support to users on the new Confluence environment.
o Document migration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Add-on and Integration Management:
o Manage and maintain Confluence add-ons and integrations, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
o Evaluate and recommend new add-ons and integrations to enhance Confluence functionality.
o Troubleshoot add-on and integration issues.



Qualifications:
• Experience:
o 4+ years of experience as a Confluence Administrator, with a focus on migration projects.
o Experience with Confluence server/data centre to cloud migrations, or server to server migrations.
o Experience with migration tools and techniques (e.g., Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant, scripting).
o Experience in managing large-scale Confluence instances.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong understanding of Confluence architecture, administration, and security.
o Proficiency in managing Confluence spaces, permissions, and user access.
o Experience with Confluence add-ons and integrations.
o Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Groovy) is a plus.
o Knowledge of database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Strong organizational and time management skills.
o detail orientated.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) in Confluence Administration.
• Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks.
